Terms & refunds
The terms on which [Your business name] sells you a day pass to the Bring a Local Bruges planner, plus our refund policy and legal notice.
1. Who you're buying from
The seller is [Your business name], established at [Your registered address], contactable at [Your contact email], VAT number , registered under .
2. What you're buying
A 24-hour digital day pass giving access to the Bring a Local Bruges planner (sights, restaurants, walking routes, hidden gems and the Guide Me feature). The pass starts at the moment of payment and expires automatically 24 hours later. It is stored as a token in your browser; clearing your browser data will remove it.
3. Price
The day pass costs €2 per pass, displayed and charged as a price including any applicable VAT. Other than the price displayed at checkout, there are no recurring charges.
4. Payment
Payment is taken securely by Stripe. We accept the payment methods Stripe makes available for your card and country (typically cards, plus Bancontact, Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported). Your card details are entered directly into Stripe and we never see or store them.
5. Delivery
The day pass is delivered electronically and immediately. As soon as Stripe confirms payment, you are redirected to the unlock page which activates your pass and gives you access to the planner.
6. Your 14-day right of withdrawal — and the waiver
Under Belgian and EU consumer law (Articles VI.47–VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law / Directive 2011/83/EU), consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase.
For digital content that is delivered without a tangible medium and starts immediately (like this day pass), Article VI.53, 13° provides that the right of withdrawal is lost if you have expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged that you would lose this right by doing so.
That is what the consent box at checkout records: by ticking it, you ask us to start the 24-hour pass immediately and you acknowledge that you give up your 14-day right of withdrawal as a consequence. If you would prefer not to waive that right, please don't complete the purchase.
7. Refunds
Even though the right of withdrawal is waived as above, we will refund you in good faith if:
- you paid but never received working access to the planner (e.g. a technical failure on our side),
- you were charged more than once for the same pass by mistake,
- or any other situation we agree is a genuine error.
To request a refund, email us at [your contact email] with your Stripe payment reference (it's in your bank statement / Stripe receipt email). We aim to respond within 5 working days.
8. Acceptable use
The pass is for one traveller's personal use. Please don't share or resell your pass token. We may invalidate passes used to disrupt the service.
9. Liability
We do our best to keep Bring a Local accurate and available, but it is an information service: opening hours, prices and places change. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the planner (e.g. arriving at a restaurant that turned out to be closed). Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under Belgian law.
10. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law. If we can't resolve a dispute by email, you can use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
